Library Etiquette
Welcome to the library.
The library is our shared space. We want it to be a pleasant space for everyone, so we kindly ask you to follow these simple house rules:
Af Rikke Beck Walther
Play and Togetherness
- The Blue Area: The children’s library is marked by the blue floor. The blue floor area in the children’s library is for play and active movement.
- Tidy up together: When playtime is over, we help each other put things back in their place so the next visitors can also find them.
- The stairs: Please keep the stairs clear – they are for walking, not for sitting or playing.
Quiet and Digital Consideration
- Sound: Please use headphones when watching videos or listening to music. For mobile phone calls, we ask that you avoid using speakerphone and show consideration for those around you.
- Computers: Please be considerate when using the computers and make room for others if you have been using one for a long time.
- Quiet: Always consider whether others around you need peace and concentration before speaking loudly.
Our Shared Facilities
- Take care of our things: Please handle books, games, and furniture with care so they will last for many years to come.
- Waste: Use the waste bins provided, but please take smelly waste (such as food leftovers) home with you.
- The elevator: The elevator is reserved for those who need it. Children may only use the elevator when accompanied by an adult.
Safety and Good Conduct
- No alcohol: Alcohol consumption is not permitted in the library.
- Video surveillance: Please note that the library is under video surveillance for your safety and the safety of the staff.
- Follow instructions: Our staff are here to help. If you are unsure about the rules, please ask us. We remind you that violations of the rules may result in being asked to leave.
Thank you for helping us make the library a pleasant place for everyone!
