How to register for at library card.


You have two options when registering for a library card:


The library card and PIN code enables you to borrow library materials at the self-service terminals.  The terminal can print out a receipt of the borrowed materials and the date of return.  Upon returning materials, you can also receive a receipt from the self-service return terminal.  This receipt is your documentation for having returned the materials.

With your library card and PIN code you can make use of the numerous digital library services at . Use our website, here you can search for materials online, make reservations, renew your loans, get updated on your borrower status and much more.


You have to fill out a Child Consent Form to obtain a library card for children.

Please notice that as a parent/guardian you will be held liable for any fees or replacement of missing/damaged borrowed materials on behalf of the child.

Receive an email or SMS:

Provide the library with your email address or mobile number, and we will send reminders and recalls on borrowed materials by email or SMS. If the materials still are not returned, we will send an invoice by letter. We recommend that children under the age of 18 are registered with a parent's e-mail or mobile phone number.
It is your responsibility to inform the library if you change your home address, email address or mobile phone number.

Replacement costs:

Because we pay copyrights, the library pays a high price for movies, computer games and games for different game consoles. The price we pay is also the price you must pay, if a material needs replacing. The average price is kr. 800 per game or movie.

Wireless network

All branches within Billund Public Libraries are set up for wireless access - simply use your laptop.

Web based resources - Use the library online 

  • We provide access to a digital collections, newspapers and high quality licenses on the internet. 
  • Access from home is for people living in Billund who are registered users of Billund Bibliotekerne.
  • Enter your cpr-number and pin if you want to use the digital collections at home.
